Kimi: Separate the Chat Path from the File Path

Kimi focuses on long-context and document work, and file uploads normally use a separate object-storage domain. Chatting and uploading are therefore two different conclusions.

A working chat does not confirm uploads

This page measures the browser path to Kimi's public resource. File uploads and document parsing generally use a different storage domain, so an upload failure should be checked on that path rather than by retesting the chat page.

Direct access is the expected path

Kimi serves users in mainland China, where a direct connection is normal. An overseas or proxy exit usually adds latency and failures, so turning the proxy off and retesting is more useful than switching to another overseas node.

Slow is not the same as unreachable

Long-context requests take longer to process by design. When connectivity is available but responses lag, server-side processing time is the more likely explanation, and the attributes of the exit IP do not change it.
